Amy Poehler Hints At A 'Parks And Recreation' Reunion
Can you believe it's already been four years since the final episode of Parks and Recreation aired? Since then, we've been begging for a reunion of some sorts. Well, it appears the gods were listening because Amy Poehler is 100% keen on the idea!
Amy Poehler has confirmed that she is ready to do more Parks and Recreation episodes 'anytime' - she's even got six of Leslie's blazers in her wardrobe!
"I am technically available," Amy Poehler told Variety at Smart Girls' 10th anniversary celebration dinner. "I have like six of Leslie's blazers in my closet, so anytime."
However, it's the show's co-creator Mike Schur holding the project back after the huge success of his show, The Good Place.
"Our king is busy doing his highly successful show, The Good Place," Poehler said. "We really can’t jump without Mike. So when Mike is good and ready, I’m sure we'll show up like good soldiers."
Parks and Recreation ran from 2009 to 2015, and starred Amy Poehler as the deputy director of the fictional town of Pawnee, Leslie Knope. The cast included Nick Offerman, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott, Aziz Ansari, Rob Lowe, Retta, Jim O’Heir and Chris Pratt, and featured cameos from Jon Hamm, Christie Brinkley, Michelle Obama, and Joe Biden.
Let's face it - everybody needs a Leslie Knope in their life... and more seasons of Parks and Rec!
Rest in Peace, Li'l Sebastian.
