Rumours Miley Cyrus Will Replace A Coach On The Voice

Reports are surfacing that Miley Cyrus is going to be joining the judging panel on The Voice Australia 2019. But not because they’re adding in a fifth red chair. The rumours suggest one of our favourite judges will be replaced!

According to Woman’s Day, the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer could be taking the place of former Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland, who they say has chosen to depart the show after tensions started rising behind the scenes.

“Tensions were brewing between Kelly and Delta for weeks because they were both fighting for the limelight,” claimed a source to Woman’s Day.

The insider also claimed that Miley Cyrus was in line to take the coaching spot should Kelly choose to leave the show.

A Channel Nine spokesperson has since responded to the rumours, telling Daily Mail Australia that there are no issues between Kelly and Delta, but they refused to comment on speculation that Kelly would be replaced.

“While we have not yet made any announcements regarding future seasons of The Voice, we can confirm that Kelly has always been a joy to work with for the artists, Coaches and crew alike. She and Delta remain close friends,” said the spokesperson.

But according to the Woman’s Day source, the singing competition has been looking at locking Miley into the show for a long time now.

“They’ve been trying for years to get Miley and are hoping this time they might succeed!” continued the insider.

Of course, Miley has had experience in the coaching role before having already been a judge on The Voice US last year.

Not only that but it wouldn’t be a major issue for Miley to travel Down Under for the gig as her and her Aussie fiancee Liam Hemsworth travel here regularly and it’s even been rumoured that they’ve looked at moving to Byron Bay near Liam’s brother Chris Hemsworth.

But of course, it’s all rumours at this stage, so it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see who will be sitting in the fourth red chair when The Voice returns in 2019.
