Katherine Langford, the 21-year-old Aussie who hails from Perth, has just secured her very first Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of Hannah Baker in the critically acclaimed Netflix series, 13 Reasons Why.

"Thank you so much to the HFPA!" Katherine wrote on her Instagram Stories. "So excited to be nominated alongside this illustrious group of women."

Katherine was nominated in the Television Actress In A Drama category alongside The Crown's Claire Foy, Outlander's Caitriona Balfe, The Deuce's Maggie Gyllenhaal and The Handmaid's Tale's Elisabeth Moss - all very strong and deserving women.
