A-List Men, Including The Rock, To Protest At Golden Globes
A group of male actors, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, are banding together and are set to wear all black to the red carpet of the Golden Globes this January 7th. The men are doing this to show their support for their female colleagues who are protesting sexual harassment.
Celebrity stylist Ilaria Urbinati revealed the plans for the Golden Globes “blackout” by posting to Instagram to confirm that her male clients would be wearing black shirts and ties with their black suits at the event.
Because everyone keeps asking me... YES, the men WILL be standing in solidarity with women on this wearing-all-black movement to protest against gender inequality at this year’s Golden Globes. At least ALL MY GUYS will be. Safe to say this may not be the right time to choose to be the odd man out here... just sayin...
The Rock responded to her Instagram post saying, “Yes we will”.
Entertainment Weekly are also reporting that Urbinati will be responsible for suiting up a number of A-listers for the celebrity packed event. Some of her clients include Tom Hiddleston, Garrett Hedlund, and Golden Globe nominee Armie Hammer.
Meryl Streep, Emma Stone and Jessica Chasten are reported to be joining in on the female protest. It’s great to see the guys get on board and join in on the protest.
