Amazing News For Robert Irwin And His TV Show

Robert Irwin is becoming an international name it seems, with his TV Show 'Wild But True' one of three Australian children's TV shows nominated for an Emmy Award.

The 12-year-old has hosted the show since its inception in 2014, airing on the Discovery Kids channel throughout Australia and South East Asia.

If he wins the category, he will join his sister Bindi in being Emmy Award Winners - after she became the youngest person ever to win a Daytime Emmy Award in 2008.

'Wild But True' is nominated as part of the Kids: Factual section of the Emmy Awards, with winners to be announced in April 2017.

Two other Australian TV shows have been nominated for International Emmy Awards in the Kids category.

The first of which is Doodles, which brings children's artwork to life, literally.

The multi-platform comedy series has been nominated in the Kids: Digital category.

The third Australian TV Show nominated is Ready For This, which is a joint collaboration between Werner Film Productions and Blackfella Films and airs on the ABC 3.

The show follows a group of indigenous teenagers who are drawn to Sydney to pursue their dreams.

Ready For This is nominated in the Kids: Series section.

There are 28 nominees in seven categories for the International Emmy Awards Kids category.
