Creators Of Modern Family Have Revealed Devastating News
Now we know that the saying goes, 'All good things must come to an end' and to an extent we agree. But when it comes to the show Modern Family, we didn't think that the end would be so near.
And so when the creators of the hit comedy show Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd came forward with some news about the future of the show, we expected them to say, 'We know you love this show, we appreciate it, and to thank you the show will run forever and ever...'.
Something along those lines. But this was not the case.
In some devastating news the creators actually announced that the sitcom is actually going to be ending REALLY soon with the tenth and next season expected to be the last.
"Our plan is to end it at 10," said Levitan to The Hollywood Reporter.
"If we can leave with most of our audience wanting more, I think that's the right way to do it."
NOOOO!! How could they?!
"We went through these questions on Frasier, when we brought that around after 11 seasons and sort of said, 'Well, the Shakespearean route on that is a birth, a death or a weddings,' and we managed to effectively do all three in the final episode," added Lloyd.
"So it may be some conversation that starts there, but we haven't figured out the episode we're doing three weeks from now. It's just a little over a year and a half from now. We've got time to think about that."
The hit show premiered in 2009 and is currently in its ninth season of filming. Since then we have become seriously attached to the quirky characters that make up the Dunphy/Pritchett/Tucker clan.
And well, now we have to come to terms with saying goodbye to them all. Or we could just spend our time praying that the show makes a revival.
