How Travis Barker's Daughter Predicted Plane Crash
You may or may not know this, but Travis Barker has two children with his ex Shanna Moakler, 12-year-old Landon and 9-year-old Alabama.
What you also may not know, is that Alabama once saved the rocker's life.
It has now emerged in Barker's new book; Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death and Drums, Drums, Drums that when Alabama was just three years old, she was frantic about her dad leaving on September 19, 2008.
Warning him, 'the roof's gonna come off, Dad', Barker boarded the flight and was shocked when the jet blew out a tyre and burst into flames. The jet was also carrying two pilots and his personal assistant, Chris Baker and bodyguard Che Still, everyone but Barker passed away.
'I panicked. I pulled the handle on the emergency exit and kicked the door open. I jumped out — right into the jet wing, which was filled with fuel,' Us Weekly revealed in an excerpt from the book.
'My whole body got covered with fuel and caught fire, from my legs all the way to my back. I started running. As I ran, I took off my shirt, I took off my hat, I took off my shorts — but I couldn’t get the fire off me.
'I was naked, moving as fast as I could, holding my genitals — everything else was on fire — and I kept running, hoping that would put out the flames.
'At that moment, I felt like I was running for my family. I didn't care about anything except being with my kids, my father, my sister, Shanna...I didn't think I was going to survive.'
The photos that emerged after the crash showed that the roof of the private Learjet 60, had been torn off just as his daughter, now nine years old, had predicted, according to the New York Post.
Barker was the lone survivor from the crash and suffered third-degree burns on 65 per cent of his body. According to a report on the Daily Mail, he also spent 11 weeks in hospitals and burn centers undergoing 16 surgeries and numerous skin grafts.
