Kevin Spacey Addresses Sexual Abuse Allegations In Statement
The entertainment world is swirling with rumours and accusations of sexual assault, pedophelia and harrassment.
Earlier today accusations were made public that a young Kevin Spacey made sexual advances to a 14 year old boy.
Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp made claims that the actor, 12 years his senior, made sexual advances towards him during his teen years.
He alleges that Spacey picked him up and placed him on a bed in an attempt to seduce him.
“I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually,” he adds.
“My stomach churns.
“I still to this day can’t wrap my head around so many aspects of it. It’s just deeply confusing to me.”
Spacey has now come forward to address the issue at hand, and at the same time made a confession of his own.
While claiming to have no recollection of the incident - which would have occurred approximately 32 years ago - he has apologised for any wrongdoing.
But he has also created new headlines, making the decision to come out of the closet and identify as a gay man.
"I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life and I choose now to live as a gay man," the statement reads.
"I want to deal with this honestly and openly and that starts with examining my own behaviour."
The admission has been met with a lot of criticism, saying the actor is instead attempting to change the narrative and distract people from the allegations of abuse.
