The concierge a the luxury Paris Hotel where Kim Kardashian-West was robbed at gunpoint has spoken out for the first time. The 40-year-old hotel employee has penned an open letter to the Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s star, after she allegedly told Paris police he was suspiciously calm during the ordeal.
It’s understood the concierge was held at gunpoint and handcuffed by robbers, before they demanded him to show them to Kardashian-West’s room. US Weekly reported they demanded to know ‘where is the wife of rapper?’
The hotel worker led the suspects up the private elevator to the reality star’s room, where he remained throughout the terrifying ordeal. TMZ reported he even engaged in conversation with Kardashian West, who asked the 40-year-old Hôtel de Pourtalès worker, ‘Are we going to die?’ It’s reported he responded, ‘I don’t know.’
In a letter published in French Magazine Closer, he explained that keeping calm helped save their lives.
'Dear Kim, when you feel the cold steel of a gun at your neck, it is the moment when remaining calm can mean the difference of life or death, both our lives. I hope you are feeling better,’ he wrote.
The man was questioned by police, after many asked why such a low-level employee would have a key to the star's apartment.
Over 11 million dollars worth of jewellery and mobile photos were stolen that night. Kardashian-West has remained silent on social media since the ordeal.
Us Weekly reported the robbers are believed to be five middle-aged men of ‘European Appearance.’ No arrests have been made yet.
