Lisa Wilkinson Set To Become Australia's 'Oprah'
Lisa Wilkinson shocked Australia when she left the safety of her Today Show chair after she failed to negotiate a successful deal with her Channel Nine bosses - but it seems she had a well thought out plan.
And turns out, it could be the best thing that ever happened to her.
She’s been is Los Angeles recently, and it’s thought that she may be meeting with high-powered CBS bosses, who have just acquired Channel 10 - the channel Lisa jumped over to. She has taken to Instagram to drop a few clues.
The first of a Californian sunset with the caption: Sometimes life takes you places you weren't expecting...but you're so glad it did. Like here. #LosAngeles'
and she finishes the post with three simple words; ’Watch this space...'
The trip comes after it was reported that Lisa will reap the rewards of her daring move from Channel Nine to Ten by becoming 'Network Ten's Oprah', when she starts at the network in January 2018.
Lisa is set to host her own Sunday night current affairs program during prime time, according to an insider, The Sunday Telegraph reported.
She will front the program that will go in to battle with Channel Nine's 60 Minutes, and Seven's Sunday Night, while also hosting The Project two nights a week.
