Star Wars' Carrie Fisher Gets Interviewed With Her Dog Gary

Carrie Fisher, most known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise in 1977, gave a hilarious interview on Good Morning America.

She brought her dog, Gary the French Bulldog, along to the interview, and he sat beside her on a director's chair with his tongue hanging out of his mouth.

Ahead of the long-awaited seventh installment in the series, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, due in cinemas on December 18th, 2015, Fisher was as enigmatic as ever.

The 59-year-old had the interviewer, Amy Robach, and the entire crew laughing through the interview.

She reprises her role, but returns as General Leia, and spoke of her dog's reaction to the film...

"Gary, you saw it. He panted all the way through,' she said. 'It was his first real screening. He looks like that still. The tongue wasn't out of his mouth before the movie... that's a review.

"It'll happen to everyone. Worth it though!

"'That's how good it is: you won't care that your tongue is out of your mouth."

When asked if it took her much convincing to come back, she replied: "I’m a female in Hollywood over the age of, let’s say 40, we could also say 50 - we could say it but not with real conviction or excitement - you don't have to ask if you want to work at that age. You'll see some day."

'I'm over the age of 40, I hear ya,' the youthful-looking Robach agreed.

But Fisher jokingly shifted in her seat replying: "That's upsetting for me."

Robach brought up the fact that Fisher had to lose weight for the role, but Fisher retorted...

"Yes I did lose weight. And I think it's a stupid conversation," she said.

But she quickly clarified with Robach: "Not with you! I mean it's good with you, but normally I wouldn't talk about it with someone else..."

She continued to deflect the conversation onto Robach: "But you're so thin, let's talk about it. How do you keep that going on?

"You exercise every day? And isn't it boring? But you love it?"

The conversation shifted, but the whole crew was in stitches by the end of it!

Carrie Fisher is definitely our idol!
