The Painful, Private Reason Ash Pollard Went In The Jungle

Everyone was more than a little shocked last night when Ash Pollard was unexpectedly eliminated from the jungle.

When she was asked about the charity she was playing for, she revealed it was Beyond Blue, the charity that focuses on promoting good mental health providing support to people with anxiety and depression.

“I chose Beyond Blue because ... a number of years ago my uncle committed suicide,” she said, as tears welled in her eyes. “It’s not something that I’ve spoken openly about, ever.

I just thought now is the time to speak openly about it and spread the word and really get behind a truly worthy cause.

“It’s a cause that truly means something to me, because every single day I miss my uncle,” she said, her voice breaking.

Pollard revealed she was “disappointed but happy” to be exiting the show, and was elated at the thought of devouring a big plate of spaghetti bolognese.

She also admitted that she’d snuck some little luxuries into camp that she’d never been sprung for.

“I did take in some contraband that I never got caught for,” she said.

“Ear plugs, I hid one in the front of my boot, I hid some in my mattress and then in my bra as well. I can’t sleep without them in at home, I need the room to be dark and silent. That was my number one thing, without them I don’t think I’d have been able to sleep.” She has picked Casey Donovan to take out the competition.

“I’ve got dibs right now on Casey. I want her to win purely because I think we need a queen of the jungle.”
