Producers Of Suits Have Spoken About Meghan's Engagement

Of course everyone single person should now know the name Meghan Markle as it was announced that she is now engaged to marry Prince Harry.

But before she met her prince, Meghan was already making a name for herself as the actress starring in the TV show Suits as Rachel Zane.

Rachel was an integral part of the show in both legal and romance story lines being the killer paralegal who used her tenacity and determination to make it as a fully fledged lawyer, and she became the love interest of the show's protagonist, Mike Ross.

But of course, once we heard that Meghan had found a suitor (see what we did there) in Prince Harry and people were speculating that they would become engaged, everyone knew it was only a matter of time before she left Rachel Zane behind.

About a month ago, we heard word from a "source" that Meghan had officially quit Suits, and on Monday the producers of the show confirmed this news after word of the engagement was made public.

"Following the news of Meghan Markle's engagement to Prince Harry, the beloved Suits star will depart from USA's legal drama at the end of season seven, which returns to the network in early 2018."

But thankfully there's no bad blood between the team behind suits and the future Duchess, with both producers and the creator of the show issuing statements of congratulations.

"From all of us at USA Network and Universal Cable Productions, we want to send our most heartfelt congratulations to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on their engagement," said USA Network and Universal Cable Productions in a statement.

"Meghan has been a member of our family for seven years and it has been a joy to work with her. We want to thank her for her undeniable passion and dedication to Suits, and we wish her the best."

The creator of Suits sent out a message to the actress on Twitter congratulating the happy couple.

Now let's see if they get an invite to the royal wedding!
