This Is Everything We Know About The Crown Season Three
If you’re a fan of The Crown, no doubt you’re PUMPED AF for season three - I will start by saying this, you’ll be waiting a fair while - the predicted release isn’t until 2019.
However, what we can tell you, is that there definitely will be a season three, but not as you know it.
Claire Foy will no longer be playing Queen Elizabeth II, as Olivia Colman will take over the role.
In fact, almost all of the cast will be replaced, and this directly because of showrunner Peter Morgan’s belief that an actor can only go so far; ageing 10 years younger than they really are, 10 years older and no more.
Obviously in the show, Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip, as well as everyone else, are supposed to age quite considerably as the story line unfolds, and Prince Charles grows up, begins to date Camilla Parker-Bowles, marries Diana etc etc.
Matt Smith revealed to Seth Meyers that he thinks he knows who’s taking on his role but doesn’t want to speculate too much; but if it’s who he thinks it is, ‘they’re brilliant, much better looking than me.’
Helena Bonham Carter has reportedly been cast to play Princess Margaret. No word yet on who will play Camilla Parker-Bowles and Princess Diana.
