THOUSANDS of FAKE Ed Sheeran Tickets Sold To Aussie Fans
Fans of Ed Sheeran who have purchased tickets to one of his highly anticipated concerts in Australia are being told to check their tickets this morning following reports that THOUSANDS of fake tickets have been sold.
The scam is alleged to have occurred via ticket re-sale sites that have sold fake tickets to fans desperate to attend one of Ed’s sold-out shows.
A number of venues across Australia that will be hosting the singer’s concerts have issued warnings to concertgoers this morning urging fans to only purchase tickets from authorised ticket agencies.
“Ticketek is the only authorised ticketing agent for these concerts at Suncorp Stadium,” wrote the Brisbane venue on their website.
“DON’T purchase from or through unauthorised re-sellers such as Viagogo, Ticketmaster Resale, Tickets, eBay, Gumtree, Tickets Australia, Ticket Merchant, Ticket Blaster, Ticket Bis and Queenoftickets. Suncorp Stadium has no obligation to honour tickets bought from unauthorised re-sellers.”
ANZ stadium in Sydney has also released a warning today.
“Remember Ticketek is the ONLY authorised ticketing agent for this event. To ensure you don’t end up with invalid tickets, DO NOT by them through any unauthorised re-sellers.”
This comes after dozens of fans were turned away from the Perth leg of Ed Sheeran’s concert after it was discovered at the gate that they had been sold fake tickets.
