WATCH: First Trailer For Fantastic Beasts Sequel

We don't know about you but the distinct instrumental sound of Harry Potter's theme music still gives us chills (in a good way) and hearing it once again in the lastest trailer for the Fantastic Beasts sequel is no different.

Earlier today the first official trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was released and it gives us an up close and personal look into the state of J.K. Rowling's Wizarding world before Harry Potter became the boy who lived.

We're talking glimpses of Jude Law as a young Dumbledore, a look at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry in its early days, and a lot more Johnny Depp action as the evil wizard Gellert Grindelwald.

We also see the protagonist Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne, take on the role as the Harry Potter-esque hero with Dumbledore assigning him the task of tracking down and defeating Grindelwald.

The sequel picks up where the first Fantastic Beasts film left off, with Grindelwald escaping custody and travelling to Paris with the intent of giving pure-blood wizards control over muggles. It is Newts job to stop him.

"I can't move against Grindelwald," Dumbledore says to Newt. "It has to be you."

Sounds a bit like the whole "chosen one" deal from Harry Potter if you ask us. But even so, we have to admit this film looks INCREDIBLE and we'll at the theatre to watch it as soon as it's released!

Although we have a while to wait yet, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald will be in cinemas from November 16 2018. We honestly can't wait to head back into the wonderful wizarding world!
