Couple Replicate Child Birth To Announce Their New Cat

This couple have taken to social media to share the news that they're expanding their family.

But it's not a baby that they're welcoming - it's a new kitten.

Like any proud parent would, Lucy Schultz and her partner Steve shared the news on social media but it's getting mixed reactions.

The couple decided to replicate a child birth photoshoot to announce the arrival of their new kitten.

"On 1/10/18 we welcome our first baby kitten, a neutered male DLH," Lucy wrote.

"He is 22" long and weighed 6 pounds 7 oz. He is already eating solid food. Name to be announced. We are so in love."

Some people haven taken lightly to the post.

"I'm sorry but WTF. That is weird as hell," one comment said.

"That's absolutely disgusting!!! Not cute or funny in any way," said another.

In amongst a sea of hate, there were plenty of people that found it hilarious and understood it for the joke it was indented as.
