Man Fined For Singing Loudly In His Own Car

It's fair to say when most of us are in our cars, either cruising down the highway or stuck in peak hour traffic, we LOVE cranking up the radio and singing along when our favourite track comes on.

And this was exactly what one Canadian man did recently, but he ended up getting FINED as a result!

Taoufik Moalla, 38, was driving home in Montreal recently when police pulled him over and fined him $118 for "screaming in a public place"

And the tune he was so enthusiastically singing along with that got him in trouble?

Apparently the Police asked Mr Moalla for identification and if he had been screaming.

"I said, 'No, I was singing,'" Mr Moalla told the Montreal Gazette.

"I was singing the refrain 'Everybody Dance Now,' but it wasn't loud enough to disturb anyone."

Mr Moalla told CTV News:

"I understand if they are doing their job, they are allowed to check if everything's okay, if I kidnapped someone or if there's danger inside, but I would never expect they would give me a ticket for that,"

He is now contesting the ticket.
