Science Says Being Too Handsome Can Harm A Man's Career

Do you consider yourself to be ridiculously good looking? Do you look incredible in a freshly pressed suit and tie? Well we've got some not so great news.

Your incredible good looks may be harming your career.

A study carried out by London's School of Management and the University of Maryland found that handsome men are likely to be seen as a threat by their bosses. This means that scoring an equally powerful position is less likely to occur.

It also found that when men were hiring other men, their decision was negatively affected by how good looking the candidate was.

Actor Rob Lowe spoke spoke about this very topic in the New York Times.

"There's this unbelievable bias and prejudice against good looking people," he said. "They can't be in pain or they can't have rough lives or be deep or interesting..."

Hmmm... if we looked like Rob Lowe, we wouldn't be complaining but he does have a point!

So there you go!
