There's A Huge Problem With The New iOS 11

Look, there is always, always a glitch with the first version of a new operating system and it sounds like iOS 11 is no different.

Unfortunately though, this sounds like a bug that Apple may not be able to fix.

According to users who have already updated their phones, the new system has substantially affected their battery life.

And we're not just talking a few per cent here either; tests run by Wandera show a 60 per cent decline in average running time.

"We looked at a subset of 50,000 moderate to heavy iPhone and iPad users in our network running iOS 10 and iOS 11 to compare the average battery decay rate over the past three days," they said in report.

The results show that while an iPhone running iOS 10 can be used for about 240 minutes before it shuts down, iPhones on iOS 11 last an average of 96 minutes.

It sounds like it might be worth waiting around until iOS 11.1 drops and skipping 11 altogether.

You have been warned.
