Woman Arrested Sans Clothes After Gold Coast Police Chase
A bedraggled woman has been arrested in her undies after ramming a police car and driving her ute into a Gold Coast river.
Officers tried to pull over the 44 year old Morton Vale woman at Jacobs Well on Thursday night but they say she had other ideas.
They allege she reversed into a patrol car and sped off after 12:05am on Pimpama Jacobs Well Rd this morning.
After several laps of a nearby car park, the woman proceeded to drive down a boat ramp, leaving her ute bobbing in the Pimpama River and a none-too-happy dog in the tray of the vehicle.
Police had to strip off and enter the water and with the help of a local boatie got the woman back to shore.
She was wearing only her bra and undies when marched in handcuffs to a waiting paddy wagon.
"Three or four police officers swam out in the river," Senior Sergeant Greg Brake told the Seven Network.

"We attempted to commandeer several boats. One local resident was able to assist us with a boat and we were eventually able to recover the woman from the water."
Police charged the woman with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle, fail to stop motor vehicle, obstruct police and wilful damage of police property.
