'Worst Fires Since Ash Wednesday'
- Over 11,000 hectares of farmland burnt since Friday afternoon, expected to continue today
- More than 300 NSW volunteer firefighters have been sent to SA and VIC to help battle blazes
- Fears it will take days for fires to be extinguished
- Around 40 dogs and cats have died in the bushfires when blazes swept through a boarding kennel in the Adelaide Hills
Extreme Fire Conditions have targeted the Samson Flat area with 22 firefighters being injured tackling the blazes. The Country Fire Service has advised that today fires will be ‘fast moving and uncontrollable’.

Seven homes have been completely destroyed and that number is expected to increase.
Time to leave home with family. No immediate danger but not worth the risk of staying #AdelaideHills #bushfire pic.twitter.com/vbOiEET0AF

Over 19 areas across the Adelaide Hills were warned to evacuate: Mount Pleasant, Kersbrook, Gumeracha, Mount Torrens, Woodside, Lobethal, Inglewood, Upper Hermitage, Breakneck Hill, One Tree Hill township, Little Para Reservoir, Chain of Ponds, Houghton, Cudlee Creek, Lower Hermitage, Charleston, Birdwood, Lenswood, and Williamstown.
Thinking of everyone affected by the fires.
