You're Going To Be #Obsessed With Instagram's New Feature
Instagram's been playing catch-up with Snapchat for a while now - Instagram stories, we're looking at you - but everyone's favourite photo app is upping its GAME.
The 'gram announced last night that if something catches your eye while you're on the scroll, you'll soon be able to buy it just by clicking on it.
Yeah, you heard us. Spot a TDF dress in Topshop's latest post? Double-tap that baby, then click through the tab that appears.
They're calling it "Shoppable Photos". We're calling it "The Future."
"To test the new experience, 20 US-based retail brands including Kate Spade, JackThreads and Warby Parker will share posts that have more depth," Instagram's latest blog posts reads, "making it easier for Instagrammers to review, learn about and consider the items that interest them."
Ryan McIntyre, CMO of JackThreads, chipped in with THIS inspiring piece of information: "Instead of having to transition over to the JackThreads app, our customers will be able to shop seamlessly from their social media feeds - allowing us to reach guys where they're already hunting for what's new."
TBH, our credit cards aren't going to be much happier but us? We're giddy.
