Ditch The Weave, A Cure For Baldness Has Been Found
There’s great news for men who have suffered from ‘hair escapism’, aka… balding.
Apparently a cure for balding has been found - and it could save men a lot of heartache (and money on toupees.)
A miraculous biochemical substance that simulates fresh hair follicle growth has been created by South Korean scientists - and it’s set to change everything.
Until now, hair loss treatments have only been able to slow down hair loss, or speeding up growth, but for straight up balding?
There isn’t a lot you can do… until [potentially] now. This new breakthrough could well lead to some exciting, regenerative treatments… A protein known as CXXC-type zinc finger protein 5 was found which binds to the dishevelled protein.
This disrupted the Wnt signalling pathway, which is known to control hair follicle development, regeneration and wound healing.
It all sounds very science-y, but the important thing is the results.
When tested on lab mice over a 28-day period, this substance was noted to instigate new follicle growth and regeneration.
Better still, when applied to the mice alongside valproic acid (VPA), new hair was found to grow at a faster rate.
There’s hope for you yet, Bruce Willis.
