Would You Let This Gyno Robot Operate On Your Nether Regions

The future is here, and it's making us cross our legs very tightly!

A hospital in America is making headlines after it added a robot to its surgical team - to carry out procedures on your nether regions...

Elmhurst Hospital in New York will become the first public hospital in the states to use the Da Vinci Robot for “non-invasive gynecological procedures.”.

The Da Vinci Robot has actually already been introduced in Australia, and has been used on our shores since 2003.

You may have seen them at the hospital and wondered what they were...

The Da Vinci Surgical System is "a robotic surgical system made by the American company Intuitive Surgical. Approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2000, it is designed to facilitate complex surgery using a minimally invasive approach, and is controlled by a surgeon from a console."

The Da Vinci bot amazingly allows surgeons to "carry out surgeries through tiny incisions, using robotic extensions that offer 3-D high-definition views inside the body."

The Da Vinci will be used to remove benign and cancerous uterine tumours and also to work on “pelvic issues." and is reportedly less invasive and easier on the patient than traditional surgery.

According to Dr Barry Brown, Elmhurst’s Director of OB/GYN Services, “Robotic surgery has several important benefits, including faster recovery times and less blood loss,"

Isn't technology amazing?

Would you be comfortable being operated on by The Da Vinci Robot? Tell us in the comments section below.
