The SIMPLE Way To Trick Your Body Into NEVER Craving Carbs

Carbs have been the bain of dieting existance for years.

It's bloody tough going trying to avoid them throughout the day.

Tea and toast in the morning, lunchtime wraps and pizza, pasta or chips for dinner - no matter where you look carbs seem to be staring you in the face.

And as with most things, the more you indulge in carbs, the more you will crave them.

But there is some hope on the horizon, Nutritionist and weight loss expert Lily Soutter has come up with some quick and handy steps that will help curb the carb cravings!

Replace Carbs With Healthy Fats

Choose healthy fats such as nuts and seeds, avocado and oily fish
Fat suppresses the appetite and it isn't addictive.

A Teaspoon Of Cinnamon A Day Helps Keep Carb Cravings At Bay

Cinnamon helps to regulate blood sugar levels, which in turn will minimise insulin level spikes after meals. When our insulin levels spike it can lead to hunger and further carbohydrate cravings, but this can be avoided by sprinkling cinnamon onto food or by drinking cinnamon tea.

Snack On A Handful Of Almonds A Day

Almonds are rich in protein and healthy fats, giving you the energy boost you need while also balancing blood sugar. Keep a stash at the office and and home and that way you'll reach for them instead of something more naughty.

Indulge In Life, Not Carbs

Instead of reaching for carbohydrates and sugars to make us happy, (they stimulate the release of endorphins and dopamine) try and do something that makes you feel happy instead. Catch up with a loved one, treat yourself to a massage, sink into a big bubble bath or watch a feel good movie!

Manage Your Stress

There's actual science behind this bit, when we feel massively stressed it triggers the release of cortisol which will make you crave carbs and sugar quicker than you can say, "one large pizza please." Try relaxzation techniques like yoga and mindfulness and be more aware of how you are managing your stress.

Increase Your Chromium Intake

Chromium is a mineral that regulates blood sugar levels. Like with cinnamon, adding this to your diet will help keep carbohydrate cravings at bay. So work some more green beans, nuts and high-bran cereals into your diet!
