Woman Hired As ‘Eating Officer’ Gets Paid To Eat
If you love travelling and eating than get ready to be jealous. One English woman has scored a dream job working as an official eating officer.
Sophie Hardy from Durham in the UK has been hired by Weight Watchers to travel the country to test out the nation’s favourite restaurants.
Hardy was chosen from more than 500 candidates to help prove that healthy dieting doesn’t have to affect your social life.
The investigation comes after Weight Watchers released figures showing 71-per-cent of Brits feel fad-diets affects their social lives.
Hardy has the enviable test of eating out twice a week and picking the healthy option to prove it can be done. Those restaurants that pass the test will receive the Weight Watchers seal of approval.
The 25-year-old is the perfect guinea pig having dropped five-stone. She is currently two-stone away from her goal weight, which is a huge feat having previously worn a UK size 26 at age 16.
"Being chosen to eat out twice week in restaurants across the UK is an absolute dream job so I am delighted to be appointed as the first ever Official Eating Officer," Hardy said in a statement.
"I am excited to show the UK that life doesn’t have to stop while leading a healthier lifestyle."
Dieters will be able to follow Hardy's journey via a blog on the Weight Watchers webpage.
