You Can Now Holiday At Pablo Escobar’s Mansion

For those who aren't familiar with the work of Pablo Escobar, he happened to be raking in over US $21.9 billion a year in personal income and was known as one of the richest men in the world during his prime.

Oh, but did we forget to mention how he made his billions? Yeah well let's just say his nickname was "The King Of Cocaine" and he happened to be the richest criminal in history.

So no, he wasn't your average entrepreneur in a suit...

And how did he choose to spend his dosh? By building incredibly lavish mansions in prime locations across world of course! And now you can experience a slice of a Colombian drug lord's paradise!

Yep, it seems that a mansion in Tulum, Mexico, built prior to Escobar's death in 1993, has been turned into a 5-star boutique hotel, featuring 24 rooms and a separate art gallery.

The property was bought in 2012 by Leo malca, a well established New York art dealer, who restored the mansion to the beauty it is today.

And while we definitely don't recommend the lifestyle of a world-renowned drug lord, you can certainly live in luxury like one while holidaying in Mexico.

That is, if you're willing to fork out at least $500 per night for a room.
