His body has never been found and what happened to him after he was abandoned on the banks of the Logan River is unknown.
The boy was born to Dina Colleen Bond with methamphetamine in his system, and was blamed by his parents for being the reason their other children were taken into state care because of his condition at birth.
Court hears Baden Bond’s dad deliberately left him at a boat ramp near Logan River because “I was tired of caring for him.” He says he sat with him on a park bench, said sorry, drove off and didn’t even look back. @9NewsQueensland @SupremeCourtQLD— Tessa Hardy (@TessaHardy9) March 4, 2019
Bond has pleaded guilty to two counts of being an accessory to the manslaughter for keeping up the lies about Baden.
The pair will be sentenced in Brisbane Supreme Court on Thursday.
