Young Boy Hit By Family Car After Tragic Accident
A young Queensland boy has been hit by his family's car in a tragic accident on the Sunshine Coast.
The five-year-old was playing in the vehicle yesterday when he released the car's handbrake causing it to roll back over a retaining wall.
According to Police, he managed to throw himself out of the door as it rolled away, however he was struck by the vehicle.
His parents administered first aid at the scene until emergency services arrived at the hinterland property.
He was treated by LifeFlight medical personnel and paramedics for multiple head and pelvic injuries before being flown to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital.
He is currently in a stable condition.
