Bread Truck Thief Arrested After String Of Offences in Bris
A man as been arrested after an extended run from police that began with stealing a bread truck at 2:30am this morning in Birkdale.
The man subsequently broke into a family home in Logan, stole their car before continuing on his car chase.
He then ditched the sedan before stealing a second car that he then crashed into a train.
Retreating on foot from the third crime scene, the accused continued his rampage, attempting to break into a second residence trying to steal a motorbike in the Lockyer Valley.
It was there the police were able to catch up with him and put him under arrest.
An armed man is on the run after a string of offences and car thefts since the early hours of this morning in the Greater Brisbane Area.
The man allegedly stole a bread truck from a Birkdale service station at approximately 2:30am this morning and has not yet been captured.
A 32-year-old truck driver suffered minor injuries as he was forced out of the vehicle.
The Tip Top truck was then discovered in Logan suburb Boronia Heights.
After attempting to enter a property but being scared off by a dog, the man then targeted a nearby family home, stealing car keys and subsequently stealing their sedan.
Thankfully the parents and five children who were at home at the time were not injured.
The grandfather of the children arrived at the scene shortly after and spoke to the media briefly.
The vehicle is a 2012 silver Honda City with Queensland registration 806TCK.
