Brisbane Bandits Bash Servo Worker With Hammer

A Brisbane service station worker has been bashed with a hammer after two bandits smashed their way inside.

The robbers smashed glass doors to get into the Riverhills business, jumped the counter and threatened the worker with a hammer and a machete. At one point the worker was hit in the head with the hammer, leaving him with minor injuries.

The bandits, who had a getaway driver waiting for them, took a till full of cash and fled in a stolen white Mazda 3 just after 2.30am (AEST) on Friday. They remain on the run.
