Check Out This Timelapse Of Lava Slowly Destroying A Car

Dash cam footage has emerged of lava slowly destroying a car in Hawaii.

The time-lapsed vision shows the lava (which is about 1000 degrees, WTF), creeping from one side of a road to the other, destroying everything in its path, including an abandoned car.

Lava is still spewing from Hawaii's Big Island, days after the Kilauea volcano erupted.

At least 26 homes have been destroyed, Hawaii Civil Defense said.

Emergency authorities battling the lava flows and gas eruptions told some residents to "go now" as a new fissue burst through giant cracks in the ground.

Authorities are also pleading with tourists to avoid Leilani Estates.

"This is not the time for sightseeing. You can help tremendously by staying out of the area," Hawaii Civil Defense said.

Longtime residents on Big Island are astonished by the destruction.

"It's nothing that I've ever experienced on a personal level ever before," a spokesperson for the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park said.

No fatalities or major injuries have been reported.
