Man Who Threatened Mum With Sword, Stole Car, On The Run
A young man who threatened a woman and her children with a sword and a knife before stealing their car remains on the run.
Police are searching for a 24-year-old man, who approached the 35-year-old woman and demanded her keys as she stood alongside her parked white 2008 Ford Focus hatchback in Brisbane's Chermside West on Wednesday afternoon.

She managed to remove her children before he took off with the car, registration 775 YNH, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Detectives want to speak to the man about a series of incidents in Brisbane and Logan, including the threatening of two officers with a knife when confronted about items stolen from a Loganholme shopping centre earlier on Wednesday.
Police allege the same man approached an elderly couple at a Sherwood home on March 4 and threatened them with a knife while demanding money.
