Devastating News For Aussie Girl Found In Bali Pool

There has been some heartbreaking news for the family of a toddler who was found at the bottom of a pool in Bali on Sunday as she has today been ruled brain dead by doctors.

Three-year-old Kawa Sweeney had been airlifted to Australia after she was pulled unconscious from the pool.

A doctor from Perth, who was staying in the same Bali resort resuscitated the little girl, however, it took almost two hours for her to receive further medical treatment.

Unfortunately, the Sweeney family has now received the devastating news that their daughter will not recover from her injuries, and are now facing the heartbreaking decision to turn off her life support.

More than $70,000 has been donated to the family on a crowdfunding page to help pay for the $42,000 cost of airlifting the toddler from Bali to Perth after they had issues with their travel insurance.

The family from Sydney's northern beaches had been on a holiday in Bali when the incident occurred. Friends and family have now flown to Perth to be by Kawa's bedside.

Our thoughts are with the Sweeney family during this devastating time.
