Do You Own Brisbane's Most Popular Breed Of Dog?

They say dogs are a man's best friend.

And it seems the people of Brisbane agree.

Over 105k dogs are registered as pets in our great city.

But what breed has won most of us over?

The loveable Labrador Retriever.

I mean, we can't really fault that can we?

Over 9.1k Brisbanites own a Lab as a pet, in fact.

A close second is the maltese - with 8.4K little lap dogs running across Brisbane currently.

Rounding out the top five is the Shaffordshire Bull Terrier (6.7k), Poodle (6.1k) and the Border Collie (6k).

Meanwhile there are six breeds of dogs with only one of each registered in Brisbane.

The Polish Lowland Sheepdog, a Kuvasz, Kangal Dog, Ibizan Hound, Eurasier and a Bluetick Coonhound.

Regardless, of which breed you own, we bet you're missing your loyal friend while you're stuck in the office...
