Emergency Services Rush To Queen's Residence

Police are investigating a suspicious letter that was sent to Queen Elizabeth at her Scottish palace.

The envelope arrived at Queen’s official Scottish residence known as Holyroodhouse, contained white powder. 

Emergency services were quickly alerted and police officers, paramedics and fire crews arrived on the scene.

“We can confirm that the suspicious letter that was delivered to the Palace of Holyroodhouse on Wednesday, June 7 has been analysed and found not to pose any risk to the public,” a Police Scotland spokesperson told the BBC. 

“An investigation is now underway to identify the sender and establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident.”
