Family Struggling After Morayfield Toddler Drowns In Pool
The family of a Morayfield toddler who drowned on Tuesday in an inflatable pool are struggling, a friend has revealed.
Two-year-old Alex Grove was rushed to hospital after being pulled from the water in the family’s backyard.
On Wednesday morning his life support was turned off.
Family friend Ashlee Owen has told The Courier Mail the family were “not coping too well” after the tragedy.
She said they were struggling to sleep after performing CPR on Alex while waiting for paramedics to arrived.
Described as a "sweet little boy", Ms Owen told the paper Alex was alway upbeat and outgoing.
The toddler’s death comes just two years after his father, Kieran Pye, was murdered.
In April 2015, the 23-year-old was allegedly stabbed to death in an industrial estate at Carole Park.
