Final Pic By Hiker Just Hours Before Plummeting To Death

Very tragic news this morning as news that 35-year-old Colleen Burns plummeted to her death while she was on holiday with two friends.

According to reports she was trying to make room for another hiker when she tripped and fell to her death. Rangers found her body below Ooh Aah Point, a famous landmark on the South Kaibab trail on Friday.

Just hours before the fall, she had posted what would become her poignant final photo to Instagram.

The shot showed her sitting along the edge of the canyon earlier that day with the caption, “that view tho.”

That view tho 😍👌🏼

Burns was taking photographs at the scenic point with two of her friends during their vacation in Arizona just before she fell to her death.

'She was stepping out of the way for another gentleman to kind of squeeze in, and unfortunately, Colleen kind of got tripped up on her own feet and fell backwards, fell into the canyon,' her friend Jessica Roman told WESH. '

That was the longest, strangest, craziest two seconds of my life,' she added.

Burns was employed as a regional marketing director at Yelp in Orlando, Florida.

She also created an online community for fans of DJ Kaskade, who wrote a touching tribute celebrating her “unmatched enthusiasm for life.”
