Heatwave Set To Have Queenslanders Sweating Even More!
We’re being warned to get ready for things to get even warmer in Queensland this week.
A heatwave is predicted to hit the state, stretching from the southern border north to Longreach.
The mercury is expected to hit 46C in Thargomindah in Queensland’s south-west. Birdsville, Cunnamulla and Quilpie will also hit the 40C’s.
The south-east will also swelter through what is being described as a “low-intensity heatwave” by The Courier Mail.
The temperature will hit 34C on Wednesday, before jumping to 35C on Thursday. Those temperatures will continue into the weekend.
UV and pollen levels will also hit extreme levels come Thursday, while the humidity will peak on Friday morning at 60 percent.
