Horror On SE QLD Roads In Three Separate Crashes Overnight

A woman has died and two are in hospital after they were struck by vehicles in three separate incidents in southeast Queensland.

A 44-year-old woman was on the road at an intersection in Nerang when she was hit by a car around 7pm on Tuesday, police say.

She died at the scene while the male driver was uninjured.

Just after 3pm on Tuesday, an 80-year-old woman was struck by a motorhome that was travelling on the Laidley-Rosewood Rd in Laidley.

She suffered head and leg injuries and was taken to Laidley Hospital before being flown to Brisbane for treatment.

Meanwhile a 17 year old is in a critical condition after a serious traffic incident on the Gold Coast.

"Preliminary information indicates around 9.30pm a utility was travelling along The Panorama when the vehicle crossed the Worongary Road intersection and crashed into an embankment," the police report states.

"The 17-year-old female passenger sustained critical injuries and was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

"The 17-year-old male driver was taken to the same hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries."
