How Police Dog Ruger Helped Nab 2 Alleged Jewellery Thieves

Two teenagers have been arrested following a break in at Everard Park overnight.

Police will allege the women made off with jewellery after breaking in through a rear window at a home on Masters Avenue at Everard Park just before 11 last night.

Neighbours alerted police after seeing two women running from an elderly neighbour's property.

Police dog Ruger successfully tracked an 18-year-old from Port Adelaide and a 19-year-old from Woodville who were allegedly in possession of the stolen goods.

The women were charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft. The 18-year-old woman was also charged with state false name and breach of bail.

Both have been refused police bail and will face court today.
