Magnitude 6.5 Earthquake Strikes In Papua New Guinea
A Magnitude 6.5 earthquake has hit northern Papua New Guinea.
A Geological Survey from the United States is reporting that the quake struck at 21:26 UTC (around 8:26am this morning AEDT).
The epicentre of the earthquake is believed to be around 67 km south west of Angoram.
The US Tsunami Warning Center has not yet issued any threat of a tsunami.
