Man Charged After Ramming, Injuring QLD Police Officer

A man has been charged after he allegedly injured a police officer when he struck him with his car in Brisbane.

The officer was on a motorbike conducting traffic in Collingwood Park on Sunday, but was forced to quickly move out of the way when a driver tried to reverse into him.

The diver then allegedly accelerated the car into the rear of the police bike, throwing the officer off his bike causing minor injuries to his leg and hand.

A 24-year-old man was charged on Monday night and will appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
