Man Dies In Serious Crash As Police Call For Witnesses
Police are calling for witnesses after a man died in a serious crash of the Pacific Motorway yesterday.
The driver was travelling north along the M1 at Yatala when the accident occurred.
According to police, initial investigations indicate the crash occurred around 9.07pm when a vehicle stopped in the left-hand lane as a result of engine problems.
“A truck following has slowed and activated its hazard lights before parking behind the broken down vehicle when a van travelling in the same direction has collided with the rear of the truck,” police said.

“As a result the van’s driver, a man aged in his late 20s and sole occupant, was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the accident or saw the driver prior to the crash.
