Man Shot In Brisbane Home After Argument

A man has been SHOT in the leg following an argument at a BRISBANE home.

The 27-year-old man suffered the serious injury early on Tuesday morning when a number of people arrived at his Woolloongabba home and an argument began.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the disturbance to come forward.

Almost a dozen World War I and World War II MEDALS have been STOLEN from a Brisbane home.

Thieves entered the Auchenflower home on Saturday afternoon and took 10 medals, police said.

The medals are of great sentimental value to the owner and family and police have appealed for witnesses.

The final stage in the takeover of Ten Network by CBS will start today with a court hearing for the transfer of the troubled-free-to-air broadcaster's shares to the US media giant.

The changes to the network can already be seen with Fox pulling Modern Family and the Simpsons from the station.

A number of other show re-runs have also been cancelled from Channel Ten's sister stations One and Eleven.

A global design and consultancy firm claims Brisbane has the best PUBLIC TRANSPORT network in the country.
