Mother Told To Say Her Final Goodbyes, Then This Happened...

Taylor Marshall was born a perfectly healthy baby boy, but when he was 8 months old, he was diagnosed with a form of meningitis.

The doctors only gave Taylor hours to live and instructed his 22-year-old mother Terri to say her final goodbyes.

Taylor slipped into a coma and stayed that way for 17 days, until something incredible happened.

After over two weeks in the coma, he woke up.

The beautiful little boy didn't escape totally unscathed however. Unfortunately Taylor had to have most of his left leg amputated, along with all of his fingers and thumbs - and the toes on his left foot.

The most amazing thing to come out of this story is how happy this 11-month bubbly baby is, despite everything he's been through.

Doctors and nurses are simply amazed at the little guy giggling and laughing throughout his whole stay in hospital.

His mum, Terri, said:

"Taylor has managed to keep a smile on his face throughout everything.

It was just a few weeks ago that I was told to say my final goodbyes to him.

I can’t believe what a little fighter he is, I knew he would lose his leg, fingers and toes when they all turned black.

Taylor’s kidneys also failed and he was left on dialysis.

It was horrifying but all I cared about was him surviving so I tried my best to stay positive.

Taylor will stay in hospital until around November as he needs regular skin grafts on his damaged skin.

We are determined not to allow meningitis to ruin Taylor’s future."

If you want to help or donate to Taylors fund, you can do it on the family GoFundMe page.
