'New Twist' Revealed In Karen Ristevski Murder Case
It is reported that a new twist has been revealed in the case of murdered Melbourne mother Karen Ristevski.
Anthony Rickard, who is Ms Ristevski stepson, has spoken to the Herald Sun, claiming that the fuel gauge on his stepmother's car was broken two years before she disappeared in June last year.
This comes after his father, Borce Ristevski, previously told police that he had been driving his wife's care on the Calder Freeway on the day of her disappearance in order to test the broken fuel gauge.
However, Mr Rickard also said that he doubted the fuel gauge could have corrected itself on this drive, as Mr Ristevski claims.
Ms Ristevski was reported missing on June 30 2016 and Mr Ristevski has said that he last saw his wife leaving their Avondale Heights home the day before.
Mr Ristevski told police that he had had an argument with his wife over money before she left their home. He then says that he took the Mercedes-Benz coupe for a drive on the Calder Freeway when he hit a bump and the fuel gauge corrected itself.
This is the latest twist in the 15-month murder mystery.
