Newlywed Couple Killed In Helicopter Crash Following Ceremon

A family has been left completely devastated after a newly married couple died just mere hours after they said ‘I do’ when their transport away from the wedding turned into a disaster.

William Byler and Bailee Ackerman, who were both seniors at Sam Houston Stat University in Texas, died in the early hours of Sunday, November 4 after the helicopter they were travelling in crashed into the side of the hill.

The pilot was also killed in the crash, which occurred as the couple was leaving their wedding reception.

Guests at the wedding cheered and waved as the happy couple departed the William’s family ranch on Saturday evening, local time in the chopper. It’s reported that about an hour and a half later, the helicopter crashed.

It’s unclear whether the couple had been travelling to another location or if they were being taken on a tour, however, authorities are still investigating the incident.

One guest at the wedding, Eric Smith, posted a statement about the devastating incident to Facebook.

“I’m absolutely devastated! Horrible news! We feel like it’s okay to post now. So sorry we did not post earlier we just did not feel it was appropriate,” the post began.

“Bailee Ackerman Byler of Orangefield and William Troy Byler III of Belville passed away last night.

“We celebrated their fairy tale wedding and they were surrounded by their family and friends as they flew off in the family helicopter.

“Sadly they crashed into the side of a hill about a mile from the family ranch. The pilot, Jerry, was also on board. There were no survivors. Please keep everyone associated with this tragic event in your prayers.”

Such devastating news. Our thoughts are with the entire family during this time.
