Passenger Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Melbourne

A Passenger plane has been forced to make an emergency landing at Melbourne Airport after it hit a large bird mid-flight, believed to be an Eagle.

A Metropolitan Fire Brigade spokeswoman has confirmed that emergency services were called to the airport on Friday morning following reports that a plane had been involved in a bird strike.

The plane landed safely just after 10am and police have said that everyone on board has been accounted for and is safe.
